How Crystal Works
Supportive, grounded, and active.

What Teens Often Bring
- Stress about school, grades and the future
- Anxiety, low mood or feeling numb
- Intense emotions that are hard to manage
- Friendships, dating and feeling left out
- Conflict with parents or siblings
- Big changes like a move or a family separation
A Space That Is Theirs
Teens tend to open up when they feel respected rather than managed. Sessions give your teen a space to talk honestly and practice skills for handling big feelings, stress and relationships. Therapy works best when a teen has at least some reason of their own to be there, even a small one, and part of the early work is helping them find it.
Parents are part of the picture too. The consultation is a good time to ask how parents are included and what stays private in a teen's sessions.
Telehealth for Teens
Many teens are already comfortable on video, and meeting from home avoids a drive after school. A quiet room with a closed door, or headphones, helps the session feel private. Teen sessions are held for people located in Arizona or Oregon.
First Steps for Parents
Start with a free consultation of about 15 minutes to ask questions and see whether the fit feels right for your family. Then an intake sets the goals for treatment. Rates are listed on the Fees page.
Going Deeper
More Than Getting Through School
Crystal enjoys working with teens because they are still becoming who they will be. The work is about more than getting through high school. It is about growing into a grounded young adult.
Sessions may draw from DBT skills, CBT and mindfulness-based approaches, with practical tools for intense emotions, stress and relationships. The free consultation is a chance for your family to ask questions and see whether the fit feels right.
